WALK. TALK. DISCOVER.
I’m
and was born in Braunschweig in 1968. As a certified tour guide, I am one half of the BraunschweigTeam. Although I lived in Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal for several years, I was drawn back to my beautiful hometown.
My passion for this city, in which there are always new stories to discover, is rekindled every day. My main job is as a marketing manager in a large car dealership group, but in my free time I dedicate myself to the city’s history and the exciting secrets of Braunschweig.
I dedicate myself to the city’s history and the exciting secrets of Braunschweig.
With our city tours, we would like to take you on a journey through 1000 years of history, show you how Braunschweig has grown over the centuries and reveal the personalities, stories and anecdotes hidden in the winding alleys. I hope that at the end of a tour you will see the city with new eyes and perhaps even discover one or two favourite places for yourself.
I look forward to accompanying you soon on an unforgettable tour of Braunschweig!
Tom Ahlgrim
I’m
and was born on a sunny Easter Saturday in 1966 in this beautiful city. I met Tom during my training to become a tour guide and we joined forces to form the BraunschweigTeam.
My hometown of Braunschweig has been my favourite city all my life and I would like to show you how liveable and lovable this beautiful city is.
You can look forward to a growing program of tours with different topics and content, always told in an exciting and entertaining way.
I look forward to meeting you!
Tobi VolkmerDani Klumpp
I was born in Heilbronn in 1973. I studied tourism management there and discovered my enthusiasm for tourism in Germany. I really enjoy discovering the beauty of our city and sharing it with others.
I moved to Braunschweig in 2001 and was immediately impressed by the city, which has since become my second home. My training as a tour guide has strengthened this bond even more.
As a newcomer to Braunschweig, I know what new residents need to know in order to feel at home as quickly as possible. With my tour “New in the city”, I would like to pass on my love of Braunschweig to you.
Let’s discover Braunschweig together!
Isabell Jost-Stritzke
I was born and bred in Braunschweig and have a wealth of local knowledge. Together with my colleagues I have undertaken a tour guide training in Braunschweig and have completed two exams in July 2024. I support the Braunschweig.Team and look forward to discovering the hidden gems of Braunschweig with you and experiencing highlights together on individually tailored walks.
My personal passion is to show my guests the Martini Church with its long history dating back to the time of the legendary Guelph Duke Henry the Lion in the Middle Ages. The Martini Church was built in the 12th century as the main and parish church of the old town.
I look forward to welcoming you to Braunschweig soon.
Marion von Recklinghausen
My family name is something special. It goes back to a medieval noble family from the town of Recklinghausen. They probably earned their daily bread as robber barons back then. But don’t be afraid of robber barons! After all, I grew up peacefully in Dortmund and moved to Braunschweig, my second home.
Let my enthusiasm for lively Braunschweig infect you and experience and discover history together with me. On our walk, you will find out where a lion left its mark, where the sun and star shine at the same time and what cannonballs have to do with our peaceful churches. I will also be happy to guide you through our beautiful city in Spanish.
I look forward to your visit.
