We start our city walk in the picturesque Magni quarter, where unique half-timbered houses and small cafés and pubs create a special atmosphere. From here, we head to the magnificent Brunswick Residential Palace, which today houses the Schloss-Arkaden shopping mall. We continue our walk past the sixth Brunswick Town Hall on Platz der Deutschen Einheit and reach Burgplatz. The heart of Braunschweig with its imposing cathedral and Dankwarderode Castle. Via the historic and lively Kohlmarkt, once an important trading center, our route finally leads us to the historic Altstadtmarkt. Here we admire the Gewandhaus, the imposing Martini Church and the unique Old Town Town Hall – a perfect end to our walk through Brunswick’s history.
